Who we are
Hong Kei Fitness & Dance Club was established in May 1997.
Its mission is to serve the local communities with the purpose of providing health and social recreational activities to everyone. Club members can attend "class" via Zoom or in person at several locations in Markham, Richmond Hill, Scarborough & North York.
Every Monday to Friday, members participate in a daily morning routine of health & fitness exercises, such as: Tai Chi, Kung Fu Fan, Line Dance & Chinese Folk Dance. New routines are regularly added to bring more variety, and stimulating learning experiences.
Club members are encouraged to provide voluntary services for various charitable organizations and have contributed their time, efforts and donations to different Local, National and International charities. Being part of the bigger family, some club members have extended a helping hand to other members, offering a social link to the elderlies, especially important during the past few years of COVID 19 pandemic and isolation.
康琪會於1997年5月成立,本會的目標是「康琪精神益社群」,致力於服務當地社區,提供健康和社交娛樂活動。會員可於週一至週五到社區的場地,例如:萬錦市(Markham)、烈治文山(Richmond Hill)、士嘉堡(Scarborough)、北約克(North York)等多個地點參加課堂,或通過「高清視頻會議」(Zoom)做網上運動,包括:太極拳、功夫扇、排舞和中國舞等等。
並有定期增添新課程,增加學習興趣!同時鼓勵會員為各慈善組織提供服務和捐贈,甚至伸展到不同地方、國家和國際慈善機構。康琪會為退休人士提供了很好的社交平台,大家可以保持聯絡,尤其在這幾年的疫情下,發揮了很大的作用。
